The Challenge of Grid Rural Electrification: Experience of Successful Programs (Presentation)

This presentation evaluates a series of case studies of public-private partnerships to determine the best practices for fostering the expansion of both on and off-grid electricity access. It discusses the most effective forms of partnerships at accelerating energy access and the necessary policy matrices to create those partnerships. A survey of stakeholders yielded a series of policy recommendations to create a financial risk-reward structure that will accelerate low-carbon energy project deployment.
