This HelpDesk Report is based on a rapid review of publicly available information and documents. It collates and analyses the energy results indicators of selected multilateral donors, independent evaluations, and approximate spend, to inform the economic infrastructure assessment of the DFID Multilateral Aid Review.
The report presents the energy results indicators currently used by the key Multilateral Aid Review organisations and DFID, and compare them with the SDGs to identify key gaps in climate finance. It provides analyses of the energy sector, then look at summaries of approximate and future expenditures on energy from Climate Investment Funds (CIF), Global Environmental Facility (GEF), Green Climate Fund (GCF) and International Finance Corporation (IFC).
