This manual represents a distillation of best practices for public outreach and education to support carbon dioxide (CO2) storage projects. It is derived from the experiences of the seven "regional carbon sequestration partnerships." Results obtained from these efforts underpin future commercialization efforts. The best practices highlighted in this manual add a valuable perspective by addressing the practical implications of implementing CO2 storage projects across a variety of geologic and cultural settings in the United States.
