This case study highlights the activities of the Solar Home System (SHS) project, a part of the larger Bangladesh Solar Home Program. The SHS project is a pay-for-service arrangement that included: building consumer awareness, offering business set up assistance, setting equipment standards, providing loan refinancing, supervising the grant process, and other activities. Participation by already trusted non-governmental organizations and microfinance institutions was one component accredited with successful program delivery.
