This study addresses energy practices among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India. In particular, the study examines the assumption that SMEs often forsake environmental responsibility in favor of "business survival." The study details energy management practices of SMEs in India as well as drivers and barriers that have contributed to the adoption (or lack thereof) of energy efficient processes.
