This report examined the options for adaptation to climate change in management of prairie grasslands and recommends that government agencies use the list of adaptation options provided here to review their current policies and programs, with the aim of identifying those that could be modified or expanded to better address climate change. Adaptation options were structured according to the "three Rs": create resistance to change (short-term adaptation); promote resilience to change (medium-term adaptation); and enable ecosystems to respond to change (long-term adaptation).
