Mechanical Concrete for Road Construction

Maturity

Tiro Sechaba Construction is the trademark owner and exclusive licensee for Mechanical Concrete technology developed in the USA. The technology is a simpler stronger and more economical method for stabilising and strengthening aggregates and soils used in road construction. It is used for the construction of the road or highway base or shoulder by removing the side wall from waste auto tyres and filling the container with stone particles. This method can triple the load supporting capacity of a typical base.

Benefits

The technology is a simpler stronger and more economical method for stabilising and strengthening aggregates and soils used in road construction.; Most road surface problems are caused by water penetrating into the compacted base-stone binder causing it to fail. This creates a pothole or rut. Mechanical Concrete has been in research development and demonstration for a number of years in the USA developed at West Virginia University. The technology confines stone aggregates and soils within a thin-walled geo-cylinder made by removing both sidewalls from a used tyre. This creates a strong water permeable road base without depending on binders or friction. It requires no curing and is instantly ready to support loads. The technology is effective simple to use and a novel application of recycled tyres.
