    The development objective of the Environmental Services Project (ESP) for Albania is to support sustainable land management practices and increase communities' monetary and non-monetary benefits in targeted project areas which are mainly in erosion prone rural upland areas. The project comprises of four components. The first component, strengthening institutional capacity aims to build a stable institutional environment that facilitates sustainable upland use management to maximize the provision of the different environmental services.

    The objective of the Sustainable Forest and Landscape Management Project (SFLM) for Bosnia and Herzegovina is to build capacity of forestry sector stakeholders and to demonstrate approaches for sustainable forest and land management through integrated management of vulnerable forest, scrub and pasture landscapes. The project has 3 components. (1) Enhanced planning and monitoring for SFLM component focuses on selected activities through a targeted capacity building effort, building on existing efforts introduced and identified under the Forest Development and Conservation Project.

    The Ibero-American Model Forest Network (RIABM) aims to be a regional benchmark for the sustainable management of forest-based landscapes. It promotes cooperation among model forests, institutions and member countries based on knowledge exchange and innovative experiences and contributes to public policies related to the sustainable management of natural resources. It is the first voluntary regional organization to be created that brings together 14 countries and 28 model forests in Central and South America, the Caribbean and Spain to share knowledge and experiences.
