    Objective

Water is fundamental to the well being of women and men both in the household and productive activities and is key to poverty reduction and development. Water is also a strategic resource in that its control is a source of power. Interventions that change the control, use of and access to water resources inevitably raise gender issues and opportunities. This report provides key considerations and recommendations in this area drawing on lessons learnt from case studies in Indonesia, Bangladesh, India and Sudan.

The Indonesia Climate Change Trust Fund (ICCTF) is designed as a National Climate (Trust) Fund (NCF), which aims to develop innovative ways to link international finance sources with national investment strategies. This case study provides an initial insight into the institutional set-up of a National Climate Finance Institution. It furthermore gives an overview about the macroeconomic and evolution of Indonesia's climate change policy. Last but not least it introduces the ICCTF, including the funding sources, design, governance, administration and current operations.

The objective of this Mitigation Momentum Project paper is to identify open issues for the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) pertaining to key dimensions of MRV, as recognised by MRV literature and UNFCCC texts, namely: transparency, robustness and feasibility and cost-effectiveness. It pays particular attention to NAMAs with a supported component and reflects relevant experiences with developing NAMA proposals in the five Mitigation Momentum countries (Chile, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru and Tunisia).
