This Technology Transfer Advances Guinea's
- Nationally Determined Contribution to quickly reduce its vulnerability for the benefit of both its own people and its neighbours by adaptation committments such as reviving economic activities, preserving ecosystems and water resources, boost resilience of communities in coastal zones, and support the adaptation efforts of rural communities to develop agro-sylvo-pastoral techniques.

The objective Electricity Sector Efficiency Improvement Project for Guinea is to support the recipient in its efforts to improve the technical, commercial and operational efficiency of its power sector through critical investment support and capacity building. The project has three components. (1) Distribution efficiency improvement component will reengineer core business processes and deploy innovative technology solutions, such as pre-payment meters, in order to improve service delivery to reduce technical and commercial losses in the Kaloum area of Conakry.

The project contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by addressing the large inefficiencies in the distribution sector and reducing energy losses. The project has three main components.
