    The partnership aims to raise awareness of available readiness and capacity-building support for adaptation and to increase the accessibility of information on the available support. Article 7 of the Paris Agreement recognizes “the importance of support for, and international cooperation on adaptation efforts” and stipulates that “continued and enhanced international support shall be provided to developing country Parties”, in accordance, inter alia, with the provisions of Article 11 on capacity-building.

    The Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) is a global network of climate and clean energy financing experts that aims to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs developing climate and clean energy projects and private sector investors to mobilize private financing.

    In its 2017 Progress Report, the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) describes the key types of technology-related assistance that developing countries are seeking as they strive to fullfill their Nationally Determined Contributions and National Adaptation Plans.  The report also explores how the CTCN is building new bridges to financing and laying the groundwork for sustained uptake of technologies through collective action on several important fronts.

    Although urban centers are often ill-prepared to meet the basic needs of rapidly expanding populations, the urban poor are incredibly resourceful people, with their own networks and the proven capacity to save and invest in the betterment of their communities. Climate change can stimulate action that improves and transforms the most vulnerable urban communities.
